With A Little Help From My Friends: Team GSMP at Cottage Kitchen & The Great Texas River Clean Up
Team GSMP loves the communities we serve and values the opportunities we get to roll up our sleeves to volunteer. Last we, were delighted to participate in two big traditions in the San Marcos community that we enjoy hosting and sponsoring every year!
Friday Lunch at The Cottage Kitchen
The San Marcos region is filled with rich history and culture that we support. Protecting the history of the area is an important aspect of economic development - it's a big piece of a place's quality of life.
For the third consecutve year, Team GSMP was excited to host the Friday Lunch at The Cottage Kitchen on Friday, March 3rd, which benefitted The Heritage Association of San Marcos. We appreciate our partners at Palmer's Restaurant Bar & Courtyard and Root Cellar Cafe & Brewery, whose contributions benefit the preservation of our community's unique heritage!
Team GSMP and Investor volunteers put on our aprons and opened the doors to the Charles Cock House Museum in an effort to raise donations. Thanks to Olivia Juarez-Reid (Wells Fargo), John Schott (Frost Bank), and Caren Williams-Murch (Trace/Highpointe Communities) for your time volunteering with us!
We are thrilled to have served and talked to 74 members of the community! In fact, we had ten more guests than last year! We can't wait to see how many people come out in 2018!
Thank you for this opportunity to serve you, San Marcos!
Annual Great Texas River Clean Up
Team GSMP was excited to (rain or shine) once again sponsor the Annual Great Texas River Clean Up last Saturday. We were honored to help clean up the peaceful, lush vegetation and the water was gorgeous! It is always a reward to appreciate the river after the clean up.
It can be easy for people to get heads down into emails, to-do lists, and deliverables. This event allows the community to get out in the open air and work together towards the common goal of taking care of one our most precious assets.
Our great interns even helped recruit some of their peers from the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and Epsilon Nu Tau, the nation’s first co-ed entrepreneurship fraternity!
Thanks to everyone who came out for this great cause, even in the rain!
